What AutoEgo remembers

AutoEgo has three separate capture modes. Local saved data and cloud AI processing both form part of the product. The controls below depend on the version installed; the newest source changes have not been verified in every distributed build.

Voice and speech context

Tap right Command to toggle listening. While listening is active, audio goes to the configured realtime AI service. When screen sharing for speech is enabled, relevant screen text, selection, window details and recent clipboard context can be included. Double-tapping Command opens typing; it is not the advertised way to stop listening.

Switch off screen sharing when speaking in Settings if you do not want that context included. Turning off voice does not turn off History.

Activity History

History observes activity in the background while enabled and saves searchable text locally. AI summaries can send excerpts to a provider automatically. The inspected preferences default to enabled; do not assume background recording is opt-in in an unverified release.

Use the History menu to pause for 15 minutes, one hour or until tomorrow, or use Settings to disable History. Use Clear history or the two-step erase action to delete the selected local History records. Settings › History app exclusions stop future History and speech snapshots for the excluded app in builds with that feature.

Teach demonstrations

Start and stop Teach with right Option. Teach can retain full screen video, screenshots, actions and narration/transcripts so the app can learn the task. Excluding an app from History does not exclude it from an explicit Teach demonstration.

Check what is visible and who else is involved before recording. Secure-field detection does not remove every sensitive item from screen pixels or spoken content. Obtain any required permission to record others.

What deleting History does not delete

History deletion does not automatically delete separate chats, skills, archived demonstrations, diagnostic logs, provider-held records or your system backups. Signing out is not account deletion, and uninstalling the app may leave application-support files. A complete account/data deletion request process needs to be confirmed before release.

Important actions

AutoEgo can make mistakes. Review external communications and important changes. The source review did not establish a universal technical confirmation barrier for every send, post, purchase or deletion. A model instruction to ask is not the same as that guarantee.
